What is Remote Support?

Specially designed software enables authorized remote access to computers or networks, for the purpose of providing requested support. While in a remote session, the consultant can typically perform whatever tasks may be needed:

  • Diagnosis of emergent or recurring system issues.

  • Installing or updating operating systems and software.

  • Completing routine or overdue maintenance.

  • Other interventions to help keep your system up and running.

A remote connection will allow us to temporarily view the screen of the remote device, on our own screen in real-time. Many remote support solutions such as Splashtop® come equipped with additional features that help IT professionals be more productive while providing support. Examples include file transfer, remote print, chat, session recording, screen sharing, remote reboot and Wake-on-Lan, and more.
